NUDE VIDEO!!

There’s so many cool new clips (and er, some not so cool ones) hitting the net right now, we thought we’d catch them all here for your viewing pleasure. From nudity to ninjas, space ships to street brawls, we bring the most creative, clever and crap clips of the week.

Best Video of the Week: Family Of The Year – Diversity

Los Angeles indie rockers Family Of The Year are a new name to us, but if they keep coming up with clips this fun, they’re sure to turn heads. This cute, comic video sees the band progressively lose their set, their instruments and their clothes. Sweet tune too. New album Loma Vista out July 10.

Best Australian Video: Urthboy feat. Daniel Merriweather – Naïve Bravado
Urthboy’s slick new single gets an equally stylish black and white
treatment which follows two brawlers, exploring the song’s theme of talking tough and the consequences that follow.
Nice subtle use of colour too.

Weirdest Video: Hot Chip – ‘Night And Day’

Those lovable electro-pop oddballs Hot Chip drop a wildly wacky video for their new baby, which isn’t surprising for a song sporting lyrics like “I don’t got no Abba / I don’t play no gabba / So please stop your jibber jabber.” This one features dancing monks in tracksuits, an egg in a pink skirt and English actor legend Terence Stamp as the library leader (we think?). Throw in Dutch model hottie Lara Stone piloting the ‘day’ spaceship and US comedian Reggie Watts in the ‘night’ ship and it all adds up to a lot of WTF!

Most Acrobatic Video: Temper Trap – ‘Trembling Hands’

The second single from the Trap’s #1 self-titled album takes its title literally as frontman Dougy Mandagi heads overseas to an unidentified country (we’re still trying to find out which one) where aerial trapeze is all the rage. It’s a big, lusciously-shot video of sunsets, skylines and swinging stunts.

Freakiest Video: M83 – ‘Reunion’

They’re baaack! The spooky, glowing-eye gang of kids from M83’s ’Midnight City’ return for in this sequel clip for ‘Reunion’. Sure looks cool, even if we don’t exactly get what’s going on. Why does the little girl explode into a light beam? Why do blue eyes beat red? And why do they get all glowy in the church? SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL US! WE SEEK ANSWERS!

Most Expensive Video: Coldplay feat. Rihanna – ‘Princess Of China’

As the title suggests, frontman Chris Martin and special guest Rihanna get suitably exotic/ Asian for the fourth single from Coldplay’s latest album Mylo Xyloto (which we still can’t pronounce). Which means majestic palaces, taiko drums, ninjas and Rihanna wearing red vinyl suspenders, obviously. Then it all gets very Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon with Ri-Ri battling Martin in his dressing gown with swords and words. The end.

Crappest Clip of the Week: The Darkness – ‘Every Inch Of You’

This shonky video kicks off with a hot secretary lady happily stripping off in what looks like a dungeon. Ho hum. Then frontman Justin Hawkins’ pops up, looking seriously like both Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell and Sirius Black from Harry Potter, and everything gets typographical. Dungeon hottie pops up again in recycled footage from the start, like they ran out of money halfway through the video. Next.
