Top 7 One-Take Music Videos
This Morning Death Cab For Cutie
made music history by broadcasting the first-ever one-shot, scripted, live music video.
This got us thinking about our favourite ever one-shot film clips. Here are our Top 7 -
1. Nyle - 'Let the Beat Build'
This clip is amazing because the audio was recorded at the same time as the video. Dude is ambitious. Inspiring song too. I listen to this one when I feel low.

2. Coldplay - 'Yellow'
Well this one's a bit of a no-brainer. The story goes that it was originally supposed to be the full band in an uplifting moment as the sun rose, but a family tragedy meant only Chris Martin could be there. They also hadn't planned for the bad weather, but I think we can all agree that it ended up being one of the most iconic music videos from the last decade.
3. OK Go - 'Here It Goes Again' - aka The Treadmill song
These guys pretty much invented the 'viral-music-video' with their treadmill antics. The guys haven't become lazy either. Shout outs to their other two amazing single-take clips for 'This Too Shall Pass' - the official version and the mousetrap one.
4. LCD Soundsystem - 'Drunk Girls'
This Spike Jonze directed masterpiece features people in panda suits accosting members of the band.
5. Vampire Weekend - 'A Punk'
It was hard to choose between this one and the band's other awesome one-shot clip for 'Oxford Comma'.
6. Bat For Lashes - 'What's A Girl To Do'
So apparently this is technically three shots all stitched together, but it's still mega beautiful and impressive.
7. Feist - '1234'
This song (which was actually written by our own Sally Seltmann) is one of many single-shot clips by Feist. She's a bandit for them. Check out 'My Moon, My Man' and 'I Feel It All'.
