This will be the seventh studio album to be released by the epic rockers and has been called a return to their old classic form. The boys recorded it in Dave Grohl's basement and for producer duties they called up buddy Butch Vig, who was responsible for Nirvana's
Nevermind. On top of that, guest musicians on the album include Nirvana's Krist Novoselic, Bob Mould from '80s rock band Hüsker Dü, Rami Jaffee from The Wallflowers and Fee Waybill from The Tubes (although most importantly from his cameo in
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure).
After releasing 'Rope' as a teaser on the band's website earlier this year, the guys released a clip for 'White Limo', which features none other than Lemmy from Motorhead.
Shout out to Higgo who interviewed the Foo FIghters for Triple M and let us play the interview on air.
PS if you haven't already watched the trailer for the Foo Fighters new movie
Foo Fighters: Back and Forth, do it now. The movie, which just debuted at SXSW, details the band's ups and downs since Dave created the group after the end of Nirvana, right up until the making of this album.
