10 Things We Learned at Splendour 2012 (so far)
There’s always a time at any given festival where something goes awry… and isn’t hindsight a beautiful thing… “Maybe it was a bad decision to commando roll down a giant hill in a Spiderman one-sie… maybe…”
Here’s the Top 10 things we’ve learned from our Splendour 2012 festivities so far…
1.
Wearing white is never a good choice… unless you’re Lana Del Rey… and let's face it she still has a few things to learn about audience view points.

2.
Gumboots are a necessity, unless you plan on binning your current pair… or working as an extra on the series return of McLeod’s Daughters.

3.
Don’t hold up your iphone to video Jack White in front in die-hard Jack White fans… your arm will get reefed down…
4.
If Miike Snow are coming around, make sure you have prepared a few “munchies”… preferred foods are old pieces of leftover steak and banana.

See how he (Andrew) is still chewing on the left there hehehe.
5.
If you’re going to stand up on a mattress bench at a festival, make sure it is secured to its wooden base first…
6.
If you haven’t packed enough warm clothes, lucky for you there’s plenty of knitted animal paraphernalia to adorn yourself with… I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – who doesn’t love a dude in a dog one-sie!
7.
Don’t go into Tipi forest and expect to ever come out… it’s like dodgy low budget CGI vortex (like a black hole in Red Dwarf) everyting suddenly got very dark, cold and kaleidoscopic… or maybe I just had one too many mocktails.

8.
If you’re going to play frisbee with Pond, make sure you plan on it being your last. One got lodged in a tree and the other well… “We thought they were gifts!”

Stick to underarm guys.

9.
Don’t climb up a festival tent pole unless you can foresee a way of getting back down… this dude was up there for the entire Bloc Party set haha

10.
Do NOT party with Yacht Club Djs*

*if you have no concern for your internal organs. We should have known when we filmed this earlier...
If you have learned any life lesions at festivals part, please don’t be afraid to impart your wisdom in the comments.
