Gig Pick of The Week: The Preachers

The Preachers have to be one of the most talented up and coming bands on the indie scene at the moment - and it's not just because they have incredible fashion sense (what - I thought that's all you need to get signed?).
There sound is hard to describe... it's like
The Seekers and
The Black Keys got into bed together did some hardcore spooning... of the instrumental variety (and yes, you can use that one Rolling Stone). But don't listen to me, check out their latest single
"Take a Card" and hear for yourself:
I had the pleasure of seeing the band live in Newcastle recently and they just exuded
such a fun, unpretentious energy onstage: it was both entertaining and refreshing to see. That and they, sounded incredible.
If you going to get out to see a bunch of indie bands this month (which shouldn't be a question) definitely put these guys on your list.
