Alexander Gow is back with a brand new Oh Mercy album called Deep Heat and yeah, that's kind of a weird name - but it makes sense when you listen to the album. 

Taking a step back from the singer/songwriter acoustic style we remember from Great Barrier Grief  - check out that interview here Alexander says that he didn't want to "serve up the same dish" and instead explore a different sound, something that you can definitely hear in this new album.

In fact, Alexander recommends listening to this album via headphones because of all the subtle sounds you can hear in track one, for instance, it's not really a subtle sound but the breakdown in to an 70's dub/rnb sound is just awesome.

This could quite possibly be my favourite album by Oh Mercy and it only gets better the more you listen to it.
