Missy Higgins is back with the Ol' Razzle Dazzle

Missy Higgins came in to take us through her new album The Ol' Razzle Dazzle track-by-track and one of the first things you'll notice when you hear this interview is that Missy is one of the nicest people in the Australian music scene.

It's been a hell of a long time since we've heard anything from Missy but when we talked about it, it actually hasn't been that long since she toured her last album On a Clear Night in 2007 for like two years, so that brings us to 2009.

Then she started writing this album and it was actually finished last year so realistically, it hasn't been that long... sort of.

This album probably took a little bit longer than expected because Missy struggled with writers block... yep, it can even happen to muso's. So much so, the first track of the album was actually first penned as a hip hop song... There was never an intention to record it as that but it was just an easy way to write words down. If you tune in to the interview, Missy actually busts out a bit of a rap... one of my favourite parts of the interview actually..

Another thing Missy talks about is the public liking this album, have a listen to Missy chatting about The Ol' Razzle Dazzle

Another thing we talk about is Missy filling in for Kimbra at one of Gotye's shows. Have a listen to Missy talking about it being more like an audition than just stepping in to the role

Now have a look at Missy doing an AWESOME job
