Deep Sea Arcade

With their dapper suits, vintage haircuts and psychedelic pop reminiscent of seminal bands like The Beatles and The Zombies, Deep Sea Arcade are a band joyfully lost in the heady sounds of the ‘60s. Initially started by Sydney school mates frontman Nic McKenzie and bassist Nick Weaver as a modest home recording project, the pair enlisted guitarists Tim Chamberlain and Simon Relf and drummer Carlos Adura in 2008 to become a full band.

Their debut single ‘Crouch End’ put them on the map and won them a slot at Sydney’s Homebake festival. Their Don’t Be Sorry EP followed a year later along with the suave surf rock single ‘Lonely In Your Arms’. Since then, they’ve ridden shotgun as supports for Noel Gallagher, Modest Mouse and Washington and played festivals in the UK and Spain.

Now signed with Ivy League (home of Sparkadia, Cloud Control), this paves the way for their long-awaited debut longplayer Outlands, which drops in March this year. Groovy.
