Dancing Heals
We’re not sure about their dancing abilities (they’re yet to be proven) but Melbourne four-piece Dancing Heals sure boast a sweet taste for starry-eyed pop-rock. All heady harmonies, Brit pop guitars and chiming synth, the band have been building a healthy head of steam since forming in 2009. No doubt things will only get hotter when they drop their debut album Into The Night this year.
As far as albums go, it’s been a slow-burner, written over three years and recorded in studio sessions booked over the last 12 months whenever the unsigned act could afford it. Along the way, the project’s gained momentum with producer Mandy Kane and mixer Tony Espie (of Avalanches fame) coming aboard, with additional production work by Paul ‘Woody’ Annison (The Living End, Children Collide). It’s been a long time coming, but if the early signs are anything to go by (check out the joyous ‘Live & Learn), the band’s time in the sun is just about now…
