Circle

Circle

Originally operating under the name Opanoni and The Raindrops when they formed in 2005, this three-piece from Enmore, Sydney have been doing the rounds as Circle for a while now. Sounding a little like Death Cab For Cutie/The Postal Service and a bit like Yo La Tengo, they delight in sweet, luscious indie-pop powered by the intertwined voices of Radi Safi and Bec Shave.

In 2008, they released their home-recorded debut album Just Keep Swimming through the Creative Vibes before consolidating their sound with two follow-up EPs, Xmas Omas in 2009 and Molasses Sandwiches a year later.

Gaining in confidence and experience, 2011 saw them build their own studio to craft their latest labour of love, The Middle. It’s out this August and if the propulsive pop gem ‘Fashion Me A Drum’ is any benchmark, the news is looking pretty good.
